In January 1984 Died Mrs June Rathbone Widow Aged 86 years - in days of youth whilst residing in Milford she attended the Ministry of Mr Fraser at Greenford Chapel.
She always spoke of him as her Spiritual Father and such was her love to his preaching, that after she had settled at Mayfield, she would with a female Friend. by the light of their lanthorn in the dark winter nights wend her way across the fields & solitary roads to Milford - to the week night Services. And on the cold snowy Christmas Morning would go to attend a Prayer Meeting.
This she always spoke of with pleasure as the time of her "first love" and sanctified recollections delighted to recall these early days. In after years she became a Member of the Church at Mayfield. to which place and People she remained firmly attached till Death.
Her Funeral Sermon was preached in February 1984. - Mrs Rathbone's husband Died early in life. He was brother to Mr Terence Sigmund the Deacon.
